doing what we are supposed to

sometimes in our christian life we want to stray off to the side of the road for a bit and not listen to what God is telling us.in other words we are just flat out disobeying God.all throughout the bible we read about people that disobey God and some of them pay for it dearly like samson , Jonah, adam and eve just to name a few.the bible says God is no respect of persons and that means he will not do for one person that he would not do for another so will we be punished for disobedience you better believe it it is time to get serious with God before it is to late.and again God is no respect of persons and there are many examples of the faithful and obedient in the bible and they were greatly blessed .what i am asking you is would you rather be punished or blessed the choice is ours.and you may think God loves me and wouldn't punish me because i am his child,well all the other people in the bible were still his children to but were punished because of disobedience and again God is no respect of persons.we must choose this day whom we will serve and which way we are going to walk in our daily lives,so if you haven't been listening to God try listening for a change and you will see that his blessings are much better than his punishment God bless

here i go again

as i sit here there is a song that keeps going through my head,and it is here i go again by casting crowns and the words of this song are true.it goes here i go again talking about the rain and mull in over things that won't live past today.why do we waste our time worrying and talking about things that won't live past today,when we should be making good use of our conversations especially with the Lords return being so close,we should be telling people about Jesus and not be afraid to call sin exactly what it is .and mulling means to go over extensively in our minds,when we need to have our eyes ,minds and hearts on Jesus.it will be a sad time at judgement to have someone look at you and say why didn't you tell me about Jesus.so , if you are a born again christian lets quit wasting our time and get on fire for God,and be a better witness ,and stand for what is right,and stand up to what is wrong.Jesus turned this world upside down with just twelve men.can you imagine what he could and would do for this world if everybody that said they were christians would do his will God bless

God is amazing

i sit here in amazement of how my God works in my life,you hear that God will provide and he will ,but when he meets a need in my life i still just get this feeling of knowing how truly awesome God is..we had a puppet show at our church tonight and i just want everyone on the puppet team to know what a great job they are doing to help get the word of God out there.we also had (and this is the greatest) two people gave their hearts to Jesus tonight .being a christianm it isn't about being down all the time i had a great time in church tonight and somehow felt a burden lifted from me.at church this morning we were asked do we pray like we should or read the Bible like we should and to answer these questions truthfully i have to admit that i haven't been.but i want to be a better christian and this is how we can be ,pray more and read the word more.i don't want to just call on the lord when things get tough i want to talk with him all the time,i want him to not only be my Lord and savior ,but my best friend.remember if we are spending our time doing things for God then we won't be doing things for the devil so remember to pray more and read more and get a stronger relationship with God i know i am God bless

the road

in this life if we are not careful we will look to the side and wander off the path.the pathway to heaven is straight and narrow and the road to hell is broad and leads to destruction.so if we keep our eyes on Jesus and focus on him and go straight ahead (if we are going straight there is no need to turn or go to the side)and put our trust in him whole heartedly he will provide our needs.in this world today with everything thats going on who else can you trust in.i'm not saying you will get everything you want ,but what you need i don't believe it is long until Jesus will return and i want to be found going straight if God would have wanted us to turn off the straight and narrow we would have signal lights.if you don't know Jesus then you are on the broad road to destruction and this road is broad which means you have plenty of room to turn around.if you are reading this and you are lost please turn of that broad road and turn to Jesus the straight and narrow road before it is to latehe paid for our sins thet we might be saved.you might think i've heard the end of time is coming all my life,well i have to but it is closer this very second than it has ever been and we have no promise of tommorowand if you died right now where would you spend eternity.that is the most important question you could ever ask yourself and i pray you chhose Jesus and decide that heaven will be your home. fall

fall is here it is the most beautiful time of year i think with the leaves changing colors and all. we can tell the seasons by the leaves on the trees.are we like the leaves in our christian life just waiting on a good strong wind (or trial) in our life to be blown away and fall down.i think we should be more like the tree instead of the leaves.if we will get rooted and grounded in God the way we should be it wouldn't matter if a hurricane (or trial) would come we would still be standing.so let us just stand .stand for God and not be ashamed and take back our lives in the name of Jesus.there is a song you've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything and this is true,but if you stand for Jesus you will fall for nothing and even if you do he is trher to pick you right back up .i would like for you to help me pray for a good friend of mine he has cancer and i know God can heal him if it be his will thanks and God bless.

watch and pray

wake up ,watch and pray is what i heard about today.we don't know when the Lord will return for us,but i believe it will be soon.so let us watch and pray,but first we need to wake up.i believe the only thing stopping Jesus from returning is he is just waiting on God to say go get my children.with all the stuff happening today his return is even closer than it was one second ago.you have probably heard that Jesus is coming soon all of our lives,but his soon is not the same as our soon.athousand years could be as one day or one day a thousand years.people don't stop to think wether Jesus returns soon or not that when we die that is our end of time if we are not saved then we will bein eternal torment with no way out becuse then it is to late to pray.every knee is going to bow and every tounge is going to confess wouldn't you rather do it on this side of life.i am looking for his return anytime it could happen before i finish this blog.i hope for the sinners sake that he tarries a little longer i don't know how long we have but i believe his return is upon us ,so we as christians need to tell everybody we can to watch and get ready.hell is not a place you would want your worst enemy to go.the Lord touched me at church tonight and i just want to say i love the Lord and am not ashamed to say it.so please lets get out there and do everything we can for God and try to get the lost people saved. the spirit is willing ,but the flesh is weak i find myself in this situation as of late.i have been sick the past couple of days and would really appreciate your prayers.but as i often say God made us surely he can fix us and he can if it be his will.if you have something like a car for example and it tore upif you could take it to the guy that built it you would because you know if he made it he would know more about it than anybody else.look at ourself like being a car we can go to God to fix not only our bodies but also our soul,and with God you don't need any warranty beacause if he fixes us then we are as good as if we were a brand new car just being pulled off the lot.it kind of seems silly i guess comparing ourself to a car,but on the other hand if you give some people an example of things we seem to understand it better.please pray for my health, and we will be starting youth services at gilliam chapel baptist church on tuesday the 23rd and i want to do the best job i can for God.i beleive that we need to reach out to our youth and give them another alternative to what the world has to offer.if we don't reach out to them as christians then i guarantee you the devil will ,so please keep us in your prayers that we may do the will of the Father.
